US visitor takes a lunch break and returns to beach to find his bag was stolen

A day out at one of the country’s beaches turned out to be an upsetting
experience for a visiting United States citizen.

Reports say the man, a guest at a hotel located in the South, was at Little
Ffryes, enjoying a day of sun, sea and sand, when an unknown person stole his
bag containing a quantity of personal items.

Reportedly, the New Jersey visitor had placed his bag on a beach chair under
an umbrella and gone to lunch.  The bag allegedly contained a Kindle, a
sunglasses case, two brown straw hats, and US$15 in cash.

When he returned to where he had left his bag, it was gone.

Officers at the Bolans Police Station were informed of the incident by the
hospitality manager at the resort.

This offence is alleged to have occurred sometime between 12:30 p.m. and
1:45 p.m. on May 16 at Valley Church.
