Shugy invites all to upcoming constituency events, starting with PiAngo Fest and Beat the Block, plus public rally next Thursday

Several events are being planned by the United Progressive Party
(UPP), including a public rally in Bolans, as campaigning continues
ahead of the by-election in St. Mary’s South.

Although the Party is not planning the annual Pi-Ango Fest, it is
inviting everyone to come out on Saturday, August 19, and support
farmers, vendors and other residents from the South.

The UPP candidate, Kelvin “Shugy” Simon, is encouraging supporters
to attend, since he will be present, and because the initiative was
started by the UPP – under the careful planning of former Minister
of Agriculture Hilson “Brother B” Baptiste.

Following the Pi-Ango Fest, which runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Simon
will be hosting a “Beat the Block” event, to which he is also inviting
persons to come and fellowship at the Johnsons Point Community
Centre.

Additionally, Damani Tabor, the UPP’s public relations officer, says
there will be another public rally in the community on Thursday,
August 24 – the third event within several weeks – as Simon
continues to outline his plans for the constituency.
