Two vehicles reported stolen from owners’ homes; one recovered, but without bonnet or front seats

Two residents had their vehicles stolen from outside their homes;
however, one was recovered, although with several parts missing.

A Gambles man reported to the Criminal Investigations Department
(CID) that his silver Toyota Rav 4, registration number A43968, had
been stolen between 7:30 p.m. on March 11 and 4:30 a.m. on March
12 from his street.

Apparently, the owner had secured the vehicle by locking and
parking it on the main road near his house. However, upon his
return next day, he discovered that it was missing.

Meanwhile, a corporal from the Liberta Police Station telephoned
the CID and reported that ,while he was on mobile patrol in the
Table Hill Gordon area, the stolen motor jeep was located.

However, according to reports, the bonnet and the two front seats
were gone.

The vehicle has since been taken to Police Headquarters for
investigation purposes.

In the meantime, a Cashew Hill man also reported to the CID that
some unknown person had taken his gold Toyota Almera,
registration number A50975.

This incident reportedly occurred between 9 p.m. on March 11 and
6 a.m. on March 12.

It is alleged that the man’s locked vehicle had been parked in front
of his house before it went missing.
