Liberta man faces fraud charges for allegedly accepting nearly $50k in payment but failing to deliver vehicles

A Liberta man is facing fraud charges after he allegedly failed to
deliver vehicles for which he had been paid close to $50,000 over a
year ago.

Reports say that a Bendals Road man went to the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) and complained that he had given
the Liberta man $47,854.75 on December 23, 2022, to purchase one
Mack truck and one diesel 20-ton dump truck.

But attempts to get the trucks – or his money back – had been
unsuccessful up to the time of making the report, he said.
Inquiries into this alleged offence are continuing.
