Woman ripped off by man who collected purchases by showing copy of receipt on his phone

A woman’s purchase of building aggregates from an All Saints Road
supplier mysteriously disappeared after an unknown person
collected them on her behalf.

Reports say the Lower Pasture woman reported to the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) that she had purchased some items
from the hardware store on January 13; and, on her return on
January 25 to collect them, they had already been picked up by an
unknown person.

Reportedly she spent $228 for the supplies and was given a receipt.
However, on her return to purchase some blocks and collect the
other items she had paid for earlier, she received the shocking news.
Her goods reportedly had been picked up by a truck, C17259, and
the driver apparently had been able to collect them without having
the physical receipt.

Allegedly he showed a copy of the receipt on his phone.
Investigations into this unusual report continue.
