Another client alleges that he was defrauded of $4k in ticket money by Michy D’s Travel

Once again, the manager of Michy D’s Highway Travel and Tours has
found herself in trouble with the law, as yet another report was
made against her and her company for failing to deliver on a ticket
that was purchased for travel to Guyana.

Reports say that a Sutherlands man went to the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) and reported that his money had
been stolen.

He alleged that he had purchased two airline tickets costing $4,000
from Michelle Anthony, the proprietor of the Old Parham Road
travel agency.

The tickets were for himself and his son to travel on Inter Caribbean
JY 0797, from Antigua to Guyana, on December 21, 2023, and return
on January 6, 2024.

Anthony was paid in cash, the alleged victim says, and this
transaction reportedly took place sometime in October 2023.
However, when the man carried out a check at the airport to verify
his bookings, he was told that there was none.

Allegedly, he then tried reaching Anthony via telephone; but up to
the time of making the report to the Police, he had not heard from
her or been refunded his money.

Since early 2023, Anthony apparently has been collecting money
through her travel agency for airline bookings which she never
makes.

She was recently arrested and charged for a number of similar
offences that amounted to thousands of dollars.

Anthony already faces charges of larceny and fraud. She is likely to
be arrested for this recent offence and slapped with similar charges.
