The ‘old Point School’ goes down in Wednesday-morning fire despite efforts of three tenders to put out blaze

The Ebenezer Primary School, which some refer to as the “old Point
School,” has been completely destroyed by a fire that occurred in the
early hours of Wednesday, November 8.

It took the deployment of three fire tenders – from the St. John’s, All
Saints, and Coolidge Fire Stations – to the scene to extinguish the
blaze. However, in spite of the firefighters’ valiant efforts, the
building was burned to the ground.

Reportedly, at this stage, officials do not know what might have
caused the fire, since the structure was unoccupied. However, it was
a location frequented by vagrants, according to officials from the
Fire Department.
