STRATCOM head compliments the public, events organizers and police for incident-free Carnival, so far

The Police say they are pleased with the cooperation and the
peaceful behaviour of revellers and other members of the public
since the annual Carnival celebrations got underway last Thursday,
July 27.

Inspector Frankie Thomas – who heads the Strategic
Communications Department (Stratcom) – says the behaviour of the
audiences, so far, is commendable.

He also credits the organisers of the various events, and singles out
last Saturday’s T-shirt Mas,’ which, he says, was incident-free, with
maturity and good behaviour displayed.

If this level of responsibility continues, Thomas says, then we should
record an incident-free Carnival.

The inspector is commending the rank and file of the Police Force, as
well, noting they have done a fantastic job in maintaining law and
order.

Thomas says the Force’s crime-management plan for the summer
festival has been effective, thus far, in reducing violence and other
criminal activities.
