One of two arrested and charged after shootout with police pleads guilty; sentence to be handed down on Tuesday
One of two Ottos residents allegedly involved in a shootout with the Police has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.
The Police had arrested and charged 33-year-old Alvin Spencer and 30-year-old Kadeem Henry after the incident on Wednesday morning, May 24.
They were both charged with possession of 780 grammes of hashish and possession of two rounds of 9mm ammunition.
However, while Spencer admitted to the offences, his accomplice denied the charges, and the prosecution offered no evidence against him.
Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh postponed her sentencing, because the prosecution did not have the man’s criminal record of previous convictions
Therefore, she adjourned the matter to next Tuesday, May 30, when Spencer will learn his fate.
