Potter encourages residents of Lower Ottos to put out bulk waste and help themselves and neighbours to tidy the community

The United Progressive Party (UPP) Candidate for St. John’s Rural South will be hosting another clean-up campaign in the constituency this weekend.

This time around, says Gladys Potter, the Lower Ottos community is where bulk waste will be collected.

She is therefore inviting residents to ensure that their bulk waste is put out in a timely manner, since collection will commence at 6 a.m. on Saturday, December 17.

Additionally, Potter says that those who are able to come out and clean their immediate surroundings, including the gutters, should do so and even assist their neighbours.

The UPP Candidate says this will not be a one-time venture, but will be undertaken at least twice annually, as the constituents do their part to keep the community and country clean.

Meanwhile, the constituency branch held a Christmas social event on Thursday night at its office, where Potter met and mingled with constituents, spreading Christmas cheer.  The social was highly successful, she tells REAL News.
