Traffic Department’s McBurnie appeals to grass-cutters to be mindful of the safety of drivers and vehicles

Senior Sergeant of Police Kenny McBurnie, of the Traffic Department, is making an appeal to grass-cutters to be extremely cautious when cleaning the roadsides, since flying debris could be an issue for oncoming traffic.

On many occasions, motorists have had to honk their horns to notify these workers of their approach in order to prevent stones or other hard objects from hitting their or breaking their windshields.

In such an event, McBurnie says, the grass-cutters would be responsible for damage to the vehicle; therefore, they should exercise extreme caution and be aware of oncoming traffic.
