Tuesday-morning’s shooting victim requires emergency surgery, doctors say, while Police look for motive

The Police are probing a pre-dawn shooting in which a man was seriously injured today, August 30, in Grays Farm.

A press release issued by the Police reports that the man is now in the hospital, with a bullet lodged in his right leg, after he was attacked at the top of Christian Street.

The victim reportedly told officers that he had been on the road at about 3:30 a.m., when he heard a loud explosion and felt a sharp pain in his right leg.

Reports are that the Police were called to the scene, where they found the man on the porch of a house in the area.

Doctors say that two bones are broken in the victim’s right leg, and he requires emergency surgery.

A motive for the gun attack has not yet been determined.

Police have launched an investigation into the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
