Caught in the act, intruder manages to escape from business owner; cops now searching for known felon
The Police are in search of a known felon who broke into a business place and was caught, but managed to escape.
According to reports, the owner of a Potters business was alerted by neighbours that someone was breaking into his shop. The proprietor checked and saw the man, who is known to the Police and the court, inside his business place.
Reports say the shop-owner held onto the intruder with the help of a neighbour, but the man put up a struggle, managed to escape and fled the scene.
The businessman later telephoned the Police and reported the matter.
Officers visited the scene to conduct inquiries and observed where the would-be thief had entered the building. It is alleged that he used a shovel to pry open a wooden window located on the south side of the structure.
A search was carried out for the suspect without success.
This offence reportedly occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23.
