‘Do not believe it: Prime Minister’s $500 million stimulus talk is just talk,’ Lovell warns

The Political Leader of the United Progressive Party, Harold Lovell, is discrediting promises of a $500 million stimulus made by Prime Minister Gaston Browne.

Lovell says a stimulus has to be the result of proper consideration and deliberation, with presentations in Parliament showing where the money will be coming from and how we are going to use it. He adds that the Prime Minister should treat people with respect by dealing with them seriously.

Lovell says that Browne simply throws out promises on the radio, but they have no credibility.  As evidence, he references a number of pie-in-the-sky projects of which the Prime Minister boasted – but which have not materialized up to now.
