ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES HAVE DROPPED TO BELOW FIVE, AS THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH IS REPORTING THAT THERE WERE NO NEW CASES FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 5.



Health officials say that 180 samples were processed at the Mount St. John Medical Centre and all yielded negative results.

Hence, in its most recently published dashboard, the Ministry says there are now four active infections  and no hospitalized cases.  Consequently, the number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases remains at 1,263.

There are two recovered cases, which were recorded on June 4 and 5. Meanwhile, 34,084 people have, to date, received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Since the rollout of the second dose commenced in May, some 21,494 people have been administered their second jab.
