FISHERS & MARINERS ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING STOLEN FISHING BOAT

The public’s assistance is being solicited in locating a fishing boat that was stolen from the St. John’s Harbour.

The Fisheries Division is asking all fishers and mariners to be on the lookout for the fishing vessel known as KIRSIA.

The boat has the registration number V2-467MW, and it was reported stolen this week by the owner, who had moored the vessel at the jetty at Perry Bay.


Officials say the sea craft is a 25-foot pirogue, with a single Yamaha 100 horsepower 4-stroke engine

While it is not known if a reward is being offered, persons are asked to contact the Defence Force Coast Guard at 462-3206, 462-2841, 462-2843 or the nearest police station, to report any sightings.
