VIOLENT INCIDENTS AT HER MAJESTY’S PRISON LEAVE TWO INJURED & INMATES LIKELY TO FACE CHARGES

Police are currently investigating two incidents that reportedly occurred at Her Majesty’s Prison.

REAL News learned that one matter involved two inmates, while the other was an altercation between a prisoner and a guard.

As a result, two persons had to be treated for their injuries at the Mount St. John Medical Centre (MSJMC).

In the first incident, one inmate reportedly was attacked by the other and knocked unconscious.

Allegations are that this stemmed from a disagreement over water at a standpipe located on the prison compound.

One inmate is said to have punched the other repeatedly until he was knocked out.

Meanwhile, 15 minutes later, a prison officer was stabbed by a young man who is said to be suffering from mental issues.

Allegations are that the officer was stabbed multiple times about the body while on duty, and had to be rushed to the hospital via ambulance.

An online report is suggesting that the attack might have been a case of mistaken identity, since another prison officer was allegedly the intended target.

It is likely that both inmates will face criminal charges.
