WITH PHASE 2 OF THE GOVERNMENT’S PUBLIC VACCINATION DRIVE EXPECTED TO RESUME ON TUESDAY

Officials say the distribution of immunization cards to airline stakeholders will continue on Friday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to facilitate those who did not collect during the first round.

“This is the last chance for cards to be collected, so all concerned are asked to make a special effort to get theirs this time around,” Health officials warn.

A government-issued photo ID is required to collect the cards “if you are not a holder of an airport ID,” they add.

Thus far 27,032 people have been vaccinated, including frontline workers, to include doctors, nurses and police officers.

Last Thursday, April 8, the Government received 24,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine through the COVAX mechanism, and an additional 1,000 of the Sputnik V vaccine from Russia on Saturday, April 10.
