NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER SET FOR POST – EASTER PERIOD
Antigua and Barbuda is again set to host a “National Day of Prayer,”It’s time to call for divine intervention as COVID-19 positive numbers rise, along with the death toll.
The event will be held virtually, sometime after the Easter period on April 11, and the Government is hoping that praise and prayers will assist in bringing the pandemic under control.
While it will run for 12 hours, from 6am to 6 pm, the format is yet to be confirmed. But it is likely to include all denominations coming together and offering up prayers.
The idea of a National Day of Prayer was put to the Cabinet by the Director of the Ecclesiastical Council, last week. A similar event was held last March, when the pandemic started, and was dubbed “A Day Of National Prayer and Fasting.”
It was broadcast live on state television and also carried on several local radio stations. true.
