Clare Hall Clinic to reopen with full services today, while renovation work continues on weekends, Health Ministry announces

Medical services offered at the Clare Hall Health Centre are expected to
resume today, Monday, May 13, after the clinic had been closed for many
months.

Due to the deplorable physical conditions that healthcare workers and
patients had to endure on a daily basis, the facility was closed for extensive
renovation.

The Ministry of Health is now promising that services will resume following
upgrades and maintenance at the clinic.

However, the work is not fully complete. But the Ministry says continued
maintenance and upgrading will be undertaken on weekends to avoid
disruption of services to the public.

It notes that the wide range of services previously offered by the medical
facility will be available.

The clinic was closed to the public last year and its services were temporarily
relocated, on July 3, 2024, to several other health centres.
Patients who normally used the Clare Hall centre had to seek services in
Potters, Piggots, and Villa.

Its Antenatal, Postnatal and Neonatal Clinics; the Family Planning and
Registration of Infants; the Hypertension and Diabetic Clinic; the District
Medical Officer; the Nutritionist and the Psychiatric Clinic were all shifted to
the Pigotts Clinic.

Meanwhile, the Nephrology Clinic and the Child Health Clinic were sent to the
Villa Polyclinic; while wound care and daily doctor visits were undertaken at
the Potters Clinic.

Residents who live in Clare Hall and neighbouring communities complained
that they were severely inconvenienced by having to travel to these locations
to seek primary medical care.
