Home invasion in Liberta leaves couple traumatized; armed robbers make off with cash and victims’ Vitz

Robbers continue to terrorize families and businesses across Antigua and
Barbuda, and the Police now are investigating an early-morning home
invasion.

Reports say the victims are still traumatized by the frightening pre-dawn
robbery, which took place in Liberta last Friday, May 10, just after 3 a.m.
It is alleged that two masked gunmen entered the house while the man and
his girlfriend were in bed, and robbed them of an undisclosed sum of money
that had been sitting on a side table.

The brazen robbers allegedly also took the couple’s Toyota Vitz.
Fortunately, the victims were not hurt during the ordeal.

The Police are appealing to anyone having information that could assist in
bringing these perpetrators to justice to contact the Criminal Investigations
Department (CID) at 462-3913 or the nearest police station.
