State of Urlings Fisheries Complex is a disgrace, MP Simon says; resident asks where is Senator George

MP Kelvin “Shugy” Simon is unhappy with the state of the Fisheries
Complex in Urlings, complaining that it is not being properly
maintained.

The MP was a part of a team that successfully cleaned up the
environs of the Complex on Saturday, March 23, and planted a
number of fruit and citrus trees to enhance the aesthetics of the
area.

Reports say that permission for the planting was obtained from
officials in charge of the complex.

Simon reports that grass, bush, and other shrubbery were cut down
from the area, which was severely overgrown.

The St. Mary’s South representative says it is a disgrace that the
Gaston Browne Administration is making no attempt to keep the
Fisheries Complex in a more well-maintained condition.

That was MP Kelvin “Shugy ” Simon.

One critic says it is amazing how quickly a government agency can
be deployed to the constituency when the authorities want to strip a
billboard. But for other services that affect the people’s quality of
life and their livelihood, the Administration “can’t find the place.”

The Cades Bay resident also asks whether Labour Party Senator
Dwayne George has moved out of St. Mary’s South since losing last
year’s by-election, as there is so much work left undone by his
government and she has heard nothing from him.
