Thieves are targeting schools again: Break-in at Jennings Secondary nets several electronic items
Thieves apparently have turned their attention back to the schools,
as several electronic appliances have been stolen from the Jennings
Secondary institution.
A report of the incident was made to the Bolans Police Station by the
deputy principal, and investigations are currently underway.
Reports say the school’s groundsman discovered that a northern
gate leading to the administrative area had been breached.
Apparently, unknown persons had used a cutting implement to
open the lock and then made their way to the deputy principal’s
office on the second floor of the building.
There, the perpetrators reportedly broke out a push-up window,
inserted a hand, and opened the entrance door.
They ransacked the office and stole a white mini refrigerator valued
at $400; a black microwave oven valued at $700; and a black
transformer also valued at $700.
This offence reportedly occurred between 3 p.m. on February 19
and 6:30 a.m. on February 20.
