Police fraternity mourns the loss of officer who served the Force for 43 unbroken years

The Police Force is mourning the loss of one of its officers: Senior
Sergeant John Pelle, who died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre
on Sunday, January 7, following a brief illness.
 
Pelle passed away at the age of 61, according to reports.
 
He is said to have joined the ranks of the Force on October 27, 1980,
and served, in several departments, for 43 unbroken years.
Pelle was last attached to the Stores Department, but had worked at
the Immigration Department, the Criminal Investigations
Department (CID), Collators Office, and the Dockyard Police Station.
 
On behalf of the entire Force, Commissioner Atlee Rodney is
expressing condolences to Pelle’s family and colleagues on his
passing.
 
Details about his funeral service and burial will be given at a later
date.
