UPP’s Tabor calls for an ABST-free weekend for parents doing back-to-school shopping

The United Progressive Party (UPP) is making a call for an ABST-free
weekend for parents now engaged in back-to-school shopping.

While the Government is boasting about economic growth, many
people continue to struggle, says Damani Tabor, the Party’s public
relations officer.

Just like the initiative is undertaken during the Christmas season,
making food items and toiletries more affordable, Tabor says it
should be considered for parents who are struggling to make ends
meet as their children return to school in September.

Meanwhile, the UPP is also making fresh calls for the Gaston Browne
Administration to lower Customs duties and make the cost of living
more bearable.
