Bathlodge teenager disappears after leaving home for nearby supermarket; family and police appeal for help locating her

The family of a missing teenager is expressing concern about her
whereabouts and seeking the public’s assistance in locating her.
Reports are that 14-year-old Tezean Morancie, of Bathlodge, was
last seen on Thursday, June 15, at around 10:30 a.m., when she left
home to go to a supermarket on the main road.

After she failed to return home her family reported the matter to the
Police, who carried out several searches of the immediate areas – to
include the two main bus terminals in St. John’s – but without
success.

Reportedly the Police have received information about sightings of
the girl in St. John’s and are following up on those leads.

The teenager, who is approximately 5 feet 5 inches in height, is of a
fair complexion, and was last seen wearing a pair of long black pants
and a black short-sleeved T-shirt.  Her hair is black and was combed
back into a ponytail at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the
Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913, or her
family members at 778-4420.
