Police thwarted in their investigation since victim refuses to give information on stabbing incident

The Police are investigating a wounding incident that was reported by personnel at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

Reports say that a doctor telephoned the Criminal Investigations Department and reported that a patient had arrived at the facility with a stab wound to the chest.

As a result, officers went on duty at the hospital and spoke to the doctor.  He is reported to have told them that the victim presented himself at the medical centre with a penetrating wound to the right side of his chest.

An ultrasound had been done and doctors were then awaiting the results.

The 25-year-old Golden Grove man apparently had told the doctor not to call the police because he did not want them to get involved in his matter.

Allegedly he was disrespectful to the lawmen and refused to give any information to them in reference to the incident.
