Young mother found dead in her Creekside home, alongside infant said to be unharmed; residents suspect suicide

A young mother was found dead in her Creekside home this morning, Thursday, April 13 – reportedly alongside her live two-month-old baby, REAL News has been reliably informed.  The death is suspected to be a suicide.

It is alleged that a relative placed a call to the Emergency number yesterday, Wednesday, to report that they could not reach the young woman.  However, that call is said to have gone unanswered.

It is further claimed that, after the relative got no response from the young woman at her locked house, the Police were alerted.

Allegedly, the caller was advised that no female officer was available to accompany the male officers on duty at the time, and, so, reportedly, no “welfare check” was made at the residence.

This morning, however, the house was forced open, our sources say, and relatives found the young woman inside, deceased.  Speculation is that she died on Wednesday.  However, the baby is reported to be unharmed and in good condition.

Officers from the Grays Farm Police Station were said to have left for the scene after 10 a.m. today.

Meanwhile, persons in the neighbourhood allege that the young woman – said to also have a teenage son – had been in a state of depression for some time; and so her reported suicide did not come as a complete surprise to them.

REAL News will continue to follow this story and report on the details as they become known.
