Eastside search for missing 18-year-old conducted on Saturday, while reward for information edges up to $22k

The search continues for 18-year-old Kevin Millett Jr., even as the reward offered for information leading to his whereabouts has been increased.

Reports are that officers, including some from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), mounted a search party for the missing teen on the weekend, when they combed the eastern section of the island – throughout Bethesda, CARDI and the surrounding areas.

However, Millett was not found and the officers did not observe any suspicious activities or persons.

Further reports say the search commenced at 7:30 a.m. and ended at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25.

Meanwhile, the reward has moved from $20,000 to just over $22,000, as Millett’s mother continues to make a desperate plea for information leading to her son’s whereabouts.

The woman suspects that his friends have information that could help locate him, and have asked the police to focus their attention on them.

The Grays Farm youth was last seen two Fridays ago, on March 17. Reports are that the rental vehicle he was driving was found burnt out in the Pot Works Dam area, but there was no sign of him.

No one has been able to make contact with him via phone either.
