All Saints West MP applauds EDF assistance to small businesses and says it needs no Cabinet interference

Small-business development has found an advocate in the Member of Parliament for All Saints West.

Anthony Smith, Jr., who is, himself, an entrepreneur, is urging the Browne Administration to push for greater development of these business start-ups.

This, according to Smith, is one of the ideal ways through which the country’s economy can be diversified.

Smith honed in on the Entrepreneurial Development Fund (EDF), a government-run programme through which current and prospective owners of small businesses can apply for soft loans.

While he acknowledged the benefits of the initiative, the All Saints West MP notes that the programme should be free from Cabinet interference.
