Transport Board cites shipping challenges as reason for running out of license decals
The Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board has run out of windscreen decals for vehicles being licenced, or having licenses renewed.
A number of persons who have gone to the Government corporation to update their vehicle’s licence have complained that no stickers are available.
Last Thursday, a St. Phillip’s South woman reported to REAL News that a Transport Board employee had apologized to her, and advised her to keep her licensing documents close by, in the event she is stopped by the Police.
Today, November 26, following complaints by callers, a representative of the Transport Board contacted Observer Radio to clarify the issue. He claims that the decals have not yet arrived on island due to shipping challenges.
There are unconfirmed reports that the Transport Board will be getting its own machine soon in order to create the decals locally.
