Family members desperate to locate two young men who are possibly missing at sea; contact last made 11 days ago

The families of two young men are sending an SOS, appealing to the public for help in locating their loved ones – T’moy Samuels and Maurice Mauriceson Valentine – who have not been heard from for over a week.

Reports say that both men departed the V.C. Bird International Airport on January 21, 2023, on LIAT flight #348, with their destination being Tortola.

Further reports say the duo left Tortola on a white sailboat, but ended up in Guadeloupe after the vessel encountered engine problems.  Allegedly, the men were seen at a club in Guadeloupe on January 27.

It is alleged that a family member was last in contact with one of the men on February 2, when he reportedly was in Dominica.  Both men supposedly left that country to travel to St. Maarten on the night of February 4 – but they never arrived there.

Persons who might have had sightings of these two young men over the past 11 days are asked to contact the Martinique Search and Rescue team (MRCC FDF MARTINIQUE).

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old Creekside resident, Malachi Jones, who was reported missing is said to have been found and reunited with his family.
