UPP’s ‘Fitness Jam’ is just a day away and promises to be a mixture of entertainment and health-consciousness, Party says

Excitement is building for the United Progressive Party’s “Generation X Fitness Jam,” slated to take place on Thursday evening, December 8.

The Jam is described as a fun, cultural experience aimed at bringing the wider community together to focus on personal health and wellness.

Participants will be able to stretch, stroll, jog or jam to the sounds of “an impressive entertainment line-up” of artistes, including King Menace and deejays Ruthless, Miguel and Snypa of Young Jugglaz Sounds.

The event, which begins at 4 p.m., forms part of the Party’s “Health Intelligence Strategy.”  It is designed to heighten residents’ awareness of how to manage certain chronic diseases and to address the needs of an aging population.

George Wehner, the Party’s Mobilization Officer, says the Party believes that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation.

Accordingly, he says, Political Leader Harold Lovell – a health enthusiast – will be one of the fitness instructors leading the jam, along with several members of his slate.

Promotions list these Candidates as Gladys Potter, Kelvin “Shugy” Simon, Tevaughn “Peter Redz” Harriette, Anthony Smith, Jr., and Franz deFreitas.

Wehner says the activity will kick off at Pensioners Beach and make its way through the neighbouring Rural West communities and then back to the starting location.
