Robber, suspected to be armed, relieves UK visitor of his cell phone, hotel manager reports

A visitor from the United Kingdom has become the victim of an armed robbery, as this type of offence continues across the island.

Sources say the resident manager of the Hawksbill Hotel reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that the British tourist had been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown man.

The robber allegedly approached the hotel guest; pulled what appeared to be a gun; and demanded that he hand over what he had.   Reports say the visitor then relinquished his iPhone 11Pro and the robber proceeded to run off.

Reportedly, this offence occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 18, and a search was carried out for any suspicious persons, but without success.
