Hype builds for Sunday’ ‘Pre-Independence Family Fun Day,’ the UPP Women’s Forum afternoon of fellowship and games

Hype is building for Sunday’s “Pre-Independence Family Fun Day,” an event organized by the Women’s Forum of the United Progressive Party.

Several activities have been planned for the “bring-your-basket-and-come event,” which will focus on fellowship and encourage supporters to get to know the Redeem Team Candidates.

Among these activities will be games for the children, including the traditional egg-and-spoon race and the three-legged race. Events for the youth include a football game in which his peers will attempt to score against national footballer Tevaughn “Peter Blue” Harriette, the St. Peter Candidate, while the tug-o-war contest is open to all.

Organizers say the women will be able to “strut their stuff” on a virtual catwalk, as they put their creative beachwear on display, while the men are encouraged to compete against City South Candidate Franz deFreitas for the title of “Best Legs.”

All this will take place at Ffryes Beach, commencing at 12 midday, and UPP Political Leader Harold Lovell is inviting everyone to come out and be part of the pre-Independence event.
