Dead vermin create stench that forces early closure of Family Court, since CBH was not available to remedy situation
Staff at the Family Court was sent home early today, Wednesday, October 26, and the Court also closed its doors, as dead vermin reportedly polluted the environment.
A source tells REAL News that dead rats inside the Court created a foul odor which permeated the offices and, as a result, operations were shut down at 10 a.m.
Reportedly, the Central Board of Health (CBH) was contacted to have the vermin removed and the office sanitized. However, a source says the staff was informed that nothing could be done at the time, since the department operates on a schedule and there were other appointments ahead of the Court.
One woman says the odour was so bad that, from the time one entered the building, one was hit with the stench.
