Lovell laments Government’s neglect of surface-water catchments and its dependency solely on RO-generated water

While the Agriculture Ministry is expressing delight that most ponds are full, Harold Lovell is disappointed that not much effort was placed on readying the surface-water catchments for the rainy season.

Lovell, the Political Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), says he is at a loss to explain why the Government has decided to depend solely on Reverse Osmosis (RO) water, which is a more costly alternative.

Meanwhile, Lovell says a lack of planning seems to be plaguing many of the Government ministries and departments – including APUA – and a UPP Administration has plans to address this situation.
