ABEC to move transfers and ID-card collection to Factory Road facility, accommodating seniors and persons with disabilities

The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) is moving to make the services at its Central Registration Unit more accessible to persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The Commission says this decision is in response to rising concerns from these persons, “who have significant challenges in climbing the stairs to ABEC’s Headquarters on Queen Elizabeth Highway.”

As a result, certain services – including the completion of transfers and the replacement and collection of lost Voter ID cards – will be transferred to the Central Registration facility on Factory Road.

ABEC advises affected residents to give the office one day’s notice before visiting by calling 562-4198.
