Police investigate circumstances around the reported electrocution of a Greenbay youth on Tuesday night

The Police are investigating what is being described as the “unfortunate death” of a Greenbay youth who reportedly was electrocuted on Tuesday night, June 14.

Reports say that Judah Bowers, 22, came into contact with a live wire and died as a consequence.

Meanwhile, as their probe into the circumstances continues, the Police have issued a statement on his death.

It says that Bowers was in his backyard, reportedly hanging out laundry, when the clothesline apparently made contact with an energized electrical wire that is connected to a fence.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:15 p.m.

One of Bowers’ relatives is said to have found him lying on the ground, unresponsive, and telephoned 911.

The youth was transported to the hospital by the Emergency Medical Services and was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor at around 9:34 p.m.

Police say a postmortem is likely to be conducted, as part of the investigations, to determine the exact cause of Bowers’ death.

Photos circulating on social media show the young man was a sportsman and reportedly involved with the Empire Football Club.
