Yorks fire is being treated as arson, since neighbours observed person running from property before the blaze

The Fire Department and the Police are investigating a suspected case of arson in the Yorks community.

On Tuesday night, June 7, a small two-bedroom wooden structure was gutted by fire after 8 p.m., when no one was at home.

State media is reporting that the house was occupied by a 16-year-old.

Villagers who live close by say they observed someone running from the property just moments before the fire began.

Lawmen are leaning towards possible arson, since the house did not have electricity attached to it.

As the probe into this recent fire continues, an appeal is being made to anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
