UPP Women’s Forum declares Joan Peters as “Woman of the Year” in observance of International Women’s Day
The United Progressive Party’s (UPP) Women’s Forum has named Joan Peters as its “Woman of the Year” in celebration of International Women’s Day today (Tuesday).
Peters is the President of the Antigua and Barbuda Public Service Association (ABPSA) and is best described as an advocate for the people – a real grassroots, down-to-earth woman.
Last year’s recipient of the Woman of the Year Award was the country’s Chief Health Inspector Sharon Martin. She received the honour for her resilience and dedicated work during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
