Clearing farm-access roads appears to be part of Agriculture Minister’s re-election strategy, George says
Well-known farmer Caudley George says more work needs to be done to help his colleagues clear the access roads to their farms.
He acknowledges that some areas have been cleared to give farmers easier access to their lands. However, this appears to have taken place mostly in the constituency of Agriculture Minister Samantha Marshall, he says.
Accordingly, George speculates that the work is being done to help MP Marshall secure her re-election to public office.
Meanwhile, George reports that the boom which was sourced to help farmers in clearing their lands is being diverted to other purposes.
Reports say the equipment was used to assist in clearing a pond on Friars Hill Road and was even at the Police Headquarters at one point.
