Opposition Leader Pringle tells Government MPs to stop competing with real farmers

Leader of the Opposition Jamale Pringle took the entire Browne Administration to task in Parliament today, February 10, over the scant attention paid to the Agriculture sector, among other issues.

First up in the Budget 2022 Debate, Pringle said this year’s pittance of an allocation to the Ministry of Agriculture truly shows that this Government is not serious about diversifying the economy.

Pringle says the people of this nation must keep an eye on the trend of politicians having a sudden interest in farming.

The Member of Parliament for All Saints East & St. Luke says he wants to see genuine farmers benefit, and not politician-farmers whose only interest is to enrich themselves.
