Liberta teen killed in Wednesday-night accident is this year’s second road fatality
In a matter of days, two families have been thrown into mourning on the tragic deaths of their teenage children. This time around, a 15-year-old boy became the country’s second road fatality on Wednesday night.
Reportedly, the victim was riding his bike in front of the Bargain Center Supermarket in Liberta when he was struck and then run over by a pick-up truck.
The Emergency Medical Services reportedly received the call at approximately 6:48 p.m. and arrived on the scene some nine minutes later.
However, the teen is said to have sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
No information on the driver of the truck has been released.
His passing follows that of a 29-year-old woman who died from injuries she sustained when she was hit by a car on the Friars Hill Road last week.
