Lovell says reputable investor will establish brewery here under a UPP Administration

Another brewery will be established in Antigua and Barbuda once the United Progressive Party (UPP) is elected to  office, promises Political Leader Harold Lovell.

Lovell and Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle recently travelled to Panama and the Dominican Republic on a Trade and Investment Mission, which forms part of the Party’s Economic Recovery Plan for the Nation.

During their mission, Lovell reports, they met with an investor who is interested in opening a brewery here. He says the investor intends to partner with Antiguans and Barbudans in developing the local business.

After a number of years operating at Crabbes Peninsula, the previous company, Wadadli Brewery, relocated to St. Vincent and The Grenadines in a move that Lovell says was more economical for the business.

He assures that the investor who has shown interest in constructing a brewery here is reputable, and owns other such businesses throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
