Traffic Head is amazed that residents continue to breach curfew despite three-hour reduction
Assistant Superintendent of Police Rodney Ellis, Head of the Traffic Department, says even though the curfew hours have been shortened, people continue to breach the regulation.
Since the commencement of the pandemic in March 2020, the Government has altered the curfew hours many times.
Most recently, it was reduced by three hours, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., and runs until 5 a.m.
However, Ellis says that persons continue not to utilize their time wisely and are still being caught on the road after 11 o’clock.
He says he does not understand why people are taking risks to be on the road when they should be inside, having been given more hours during the day and evening to get things done.
