ABSENCE OF HIS LAWYER PREVENTS ALLEGED “VAMPIRE KILLER” FROM ENTERING PLEAS ON TWO MURDER CHARGES IN COURT TODAY

The public-proclaimed “Vampire Killer,” Delano Forbes, will have to return to the High Court for his arraignment after the procedure was adjourned on Tuesday, May 4.

Forbes was expected to enter pleas on two murder charges.  However, his attorney failed to appear in court and, therefore, the matter has to be rescheduled.

Forbes is alleged to have killed a number of people, including Lisue “Dirty” Williams.  Williams, who was considered a vagrant, died as a result of having his throat slashed. His body was discovered on February 21, 2017, outside the Industrial School for the Blind on Lower All Saints Road.

Allegedly, Forbes also murdered Shawn Henry by cutting his throat. This incident reportedly occurred between 6-9 May, 2017, on Redcliffe Street.Henry’s body was found in an abandoned building.

Other alleged victims of the suspected serial killer include Wilfred “Bongo” Williams, whose body was found stuffed in a nailed-shut latrine near his home in Swetes. He had been reported missing days before.

It was while he was on the run in that instance that Forbes reportedly struck again, this time taking the life of Maurison Thomas, a Matthews Village resident.

Since Thomas had not answered any phone calls in several days, his daughter and a friend went to check on him.  Thomas was found dead in his home, face down in a pool of blood.

After being on the run for about a month – and having the Nation in fear – Forbes was recaptured in March 2018 inside the pump house at Follies.

Police suspect that Forbes is responsible for the murders of several so-called vagrants across the island in a killing spree that began in 2015.

During their investigations into the murders, lawmen allegedly found two bottles filled with what appeared to be blood at the home of the accused.
