Bendals Road man detained in connection with unnamed murder although search of his home yielded nothing

A man allegedly is being held for questioning in relation to the capital offense
of murder.

A source says a Bendals Road resident was taken into police custody after a
search warrant was executed at his home on June 3 at about 6:50 a.m.
Interestingly, officers from the Police Armory and the Criminal Investigations
Department (CID) Task Force did not find anything of interest during the
operation.

However, following the search, the man was arrested on suspicion of murder
and taken to the station.

REAL News was not able to ascertain for which of the unsolved murders the
Bendals Road man was detained.

However, the most recent murder is that of Yorks Village resident 24-year-
old Kevin Vaccannie, who was shot to death in the early hours of Wednesday,
May 15, at his mother’s place of business, the Asylum Nightclub on
Independence Drive.

Following that incident, the Police offered a reward for information leading to
the solving of that murder and any other of several unsolved homicides.
Speculation therefore is that the Police executed the search of the Bendals
Road residence on a related tip-off.
