Search warrants turn up various items, as well as a missing underage girl, with several persons taken into custody

On Saturday, May 11, more than a half-dozen search warrants were executed
by the Police at various locations across the island, one in which a missing
teenager was found in the company of an adult male.

Sources say that officers from the Grays Farm and St. John’s Police Stations;
the Criminal Investigations Department (CID); and the K-9 Unit went on duty
at Five Islands, where a search warrant was executed on the premises of a
male whose alias is “Ghost Man.”

Reportedly, during the operation, the police found a quantity of plant material
resembling cannabis and 12 cases of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
These items were seized for the purposes.

Additionally, officers found a 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing
for over a week. The teenager, along with the 24-year-old man who had been
harbouring her, was taken into police custody.

In another incident, officers went to a Federation Road home to execute a
search warrant on the premises.

Reportedly, a Glock pistol and seven rounds of ammunition were discovered
and taken into custody, along with the man found in the house.
Meanwhile, a warrant was executed at the home of a Tinning Village man,
whose alias is “Jess-I.

During the exercise, the Police found a sheet of plywood, a digital camera, a
bicycle, and a tent, which were taken into custody.

In the meantime, a Nut Grove residence was searched after a search warrant
was executed there. 

During that operation nothing was found; but the Police took the resident into
custody in connection with a larceny investigation.

In an unrelated incident, at about 5 a.m. on May 11, a search warrant was
executed on the premises of a Belle View Heights man; a man from Pigotts; a
resident of All Saints; and a Bathlodge man.

Officers found the controlled drug cannabis; a creamy substance resembling
cocaine; a camouflage jacket; a Samsung Smartphone and an iPhone, which
were all seized for investigation purposes. 

The Police arrested everyone at the house on suspicion of possession of
cannabis; possession of cocaine; robbery; and possession of a camouflage
jacket.

Additionally, officers went on duty at Bishopgate Street and executed a search
warrant there – also on May 11, at 3:45 a.m.

Two other people were at the home of the suspect at the time. 
Although the Police did not find anything of interest, one of the men was
arrested on suspicion of larceny and taken to the St. John’s Police Station.
