Poultry farmer robbed of implements and 3,000 eggs in latest report of praedial larceny

Farmers are already under threat from the Gaston Browne
Administration, with farm lands being turned into housing
developments, while they are still contending with praedial larceny.

A Herbert’s farmer has lost a number of items that will affect his
chicken farm and egg production.

Reportedly the man’s farm is located in Sandersons, where some
unknown person stole a quantity of implements, including a pick, a
fork, a shovel, a wheelbarrow, and 125 egg cases.

The intruder also made off with a 60-lb bag of dog food, a 5-lb bag of
cat food, one egg crate, and 3,000 eggs from the farm.

This matter has been reported to the All Saints Police Station and
investigations into the theft have commenced.

The offence is said to have occurred sometime between 2:30 p.m. on
February 7 and 9:30 a.m. on February 8.

Allegations are that the intruder made his way into the storeroom,
cleaning room, and fowl pen, where the items were being kept, and
stole them.

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the stolen
items but without success.
